Overview
Alexa Erb (she/her/hers) serves as the Social Media Manager for Transformation By Design. Alexa’s experience in higher education has fostered a great interest in and passion for sustainable & transformative strategic planning, holistic leadership development, and enacting tools that create more equitable learning environments. She is quite energized by the opportunity to employ these interests in her work with intentional social media marketing.
For the majority of her professional career, Alexa has worked to support the development of college students in a wide range of functional areas and engagement opportunities. After graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Wake Forest University in North Carolina, she spent time working in Duke University’s Center for Multicultural Affairs.
Alexa earned her Master of Education from the University of Vermont where she had the opportunity to work and learn in departments like Campus Programs, Orientation & New Student Programs, Community Relations, STEM Academic & Career Advising, and Fraternity & Sorority Life.
Following graduation, Alexa went on to work in Student Programs & Engagement at Bentley University where she advised the Campus Activities Board, over 100 student organizations, and the Fraternity & Sorority Life Program. Alexa’s next professional move brought her to Boston College, supporting strategic planning & initiatives out of the Vice President for Student Affairs’ office. Today, Alexa currently serves as the Associate Director of Student Engagement at Tufts University. In her role, Alexa oversees student organization engagement and success for over 370 groups, large-scale programming, co-advisement of the Student Government, and departmental strategic planning.
Alexa lives in Boston, Massachusetts with her partner, Aaron, and their pup, Rue. When she’s not working, Alexa enjoys long facetime catch-ups with people she loves, hosting dinner & brunch parties in her home, and trying her hand at DIY house renovation projects.
