Overview
Kim Adams is a Certified Professional Coach having completed her training in 2010 with the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC), an ICF-accredited coaching program. She is an experienced leader, trainer and facilitator as well as a presenter at regional and national conferences on end of life and after-death care issues.
Kim began her career as a Case Manager at a homeless shelter for families and then at a community health center for people with HIV/AIDS. Her holistic approach of mind, body, spirit led her to become a licensed massage therapist completing a 1000 hour massage therapy program in Albany, NY.
She has extensive experience working with nonprofits having served on various National and local Board of Directors in leadership roles including as President, Secretary, and Event Coordinator having organized all facets of a national conference for 125 attendees in 2019.
Kim also has experience in higher education having worked in Student Affairs in Residence Life at Russell Sage College in Troy, NY. She also worked at Mills College in Oakland, CA as the administrative liaison to the Dean and Associate Dean of Students, and at Babson College in Wellesley, MA supporting the President and Chief of Staff with administrative and budgetary support.
One of Kim’s strengths is creating systems and procedures for optimal operational support for groups and organizations. She can see both the big picture as well as the details. In addition to working with nonprofits on organizational development, Kim served as the Chief Action Officer for 9 years with an internationally known Transformation Coach. Her duties included providing all the logistical components for 3-5 day on-site coaching programs, creating administrative processes for program development, as well as customer service/email support to over 600 graduates.
Currently Kim has been serving as the Membership Coordinator for the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance, a national non-profit, as their membership for the past 4 years and is now their part-time Business Manager. She created and oversees the entire membership process for 5 different membership levels. In addition, Kim is responsible for creating business structures, including financial processes to support the Board of Directors.
Kim resides in Baltimore, Maryland with her wife Toni.
